Poem: May We Choose

I composed this poem from an inspirational saying that I had read years ago and subsequently misplaced, so I can’t pinpoint it origins. I sat with the memory of that inspiration and allowed it to circulate, below is what birthed. I share “May We Choose” frequently in some form or another at Mystic Heart Sound Journeys, as so many of you have shared that it continues to stirs your heart

May we choose love over disregard

Compassion over arrogance

May we choose wisdom over ignorance

Kindness over wounding

May we speak truth, choose empathy and discernment with our actions and words

May we choose vulnerability over numbness

Courage over luxury

Esteem over shame

Choose integrity over deceit

Flexibility over callousness

Empathy over indifference

May we choose peace over chaos

Mending over division

Healing over pain

May we share our tenderness

our grief and our joys

May we share the wisdom of the our hearts

May we message the wisdom of our greater knowing

May we share our humanity as a beckon for all

May we awaken the warrior spirit within and act on the behalf of all living beings and bring forth the force of our humanity, to lead with fierceness and power of love, of generosity - recognizing our selves in all of nature’s beings
