Poem: Breath of Love
A humble sharing
As requested... below a version of one of the poems I have shared during a Sound Bath Meditation. I wrote the first draft of this well over a decade ago, in Ballard, sitting in a sunbeam after a particularly potent yoga practice - body and emotions flowing - during a weekend retreat with my root teacher, goddess, friend and heart-centered-mentor, Shiva Rea - it just came pouring out:
Breath of Love
Can you be the whisper of a soft breeze, the raw power in the storm or the nourishment in a raindrop?
Can you be the softness of the first snowfall. The awakening within the sunrise?
Can you embody the freedom of a bird’s wings in flight? The expression of radiance in a sun-ray?
Can you be the illumination in a lightning bolt? The essence of a moon set?
Can you feel the magic of the twinkling star within? The sweet kiss of a morning dew?
Are you astonished by your heartbeat? Can you feel the beauty of its rhythm inside you?
Can you be the breath of love within your own soul? ~Kristi Lee
