Invocation: Daughter of the Void
I often close Mystic Heart Sound Journeys with words to stir, to inspire, to touch our hearts, to call forth a remembrance. Below I have shared a version of the invocation: Daughter of the Void, Keeper of Sacred Waters. I find myself called to read this passage when the energy of spring begins to vibrate with the cycle of new life birthing into our world or as we go into the womb of darkness answering the call of winter, asking us to marinate in the stillness and quietude of our being - calling us to connect more deeply with our true self and dream our dreams. You can find more poems/essays and inspirations in my Mystic Heart monthly newsletter.
I walk as the daughter of the void
My being flows with the waters of remembering,
the imprint of that which is beyond creation
I am the guardian of thresholds,
the thorn that protects the blooming rose
The sacred wisdom of the mystery
My strength is found not in striving—
it is in resting deep within the dreaming body of Earth,
the dreaming of the cosmos
Love roots in me -
Like a seed awaiting the light of spring,
I allow natural forces to shape connection,
the alchemy of the elemental forces
and the intertwining of the sacred masculine and feminine,
igniting new possibilities
birthing new rhythms in the soil of the soul
Love spirals through my being
like green vines seeking the sun,
dancing to the sacred rhythms of the earth.
Love tends the creative forces in me
And in turn
I tend the creative forces through my love
My devotion is steady yet storm-fed,
wild, driven by the strength of passion
I do not fear chaos—
I kneel beside it, mold it like clay,
finding the place in the great mystery,
weaving back into wholeness.
The world turns itself upside down,
I walk inside with unshakable grace,
with my devotion, my presence, my remembering
The deeper into expressions of soul truth
I let go of the waiting and reclaim joy.
I hold my ground with grace and dignity.
I am the green woman returning—
a force reborn
I’m called to listen
to the wind through the trees,
to the pulse beneath the soil,
to the cry of a world that longs to be made whole.
I am not here to fix it all—
I am here to weave.
